Grant is a first year student in the clinical behavioral psychology M.S. program at Eastern Michigan University. Prior to his entrance to the graduate program, Grant was an undergraduate at EMU, graduating in Winter 2025 with a B.S. in general psychology. During his time as an undergraduate, Grant’s Honors thesis focused on the co-use of alcohol and e-cigarettes (“vapes”), examining how use of alcohol and e-cigarettes affects self-reported dependence and hypothetical demand of each other. Grant also has interests in interventions for substance use disorders, sociocultural factors that encourage hazardous substance use, and animal models of substance use and addiction. In addition, Grant is a trained crisis counselor, with skills in safety planning and crisis intervention for people at risk of self-harm and suicidality.
Grant is a life-long Michigander who has called the metro Detroit area home for his whole life.
